WED-129

WED-129 is chiefly characterized by its water soluble solvent, which is exceptional at removing oil (all types) and/or petroleum based soils. It is a concentrated, multi-purpose, cleaning compound with a high foam characteristic. This florescent pink liquid also contains wetting agents, water softening agents, and alkaline builders. WED- 129 has a moderately high level of alkalinity, but contains no free caustic. The concentrate has a pH of 12.9. Additional features of WED-129 are its non-flammability and it is manufactured with biodegradable detergents.

Pressure Washers

WED-129 is a great product to use in pressure washers. When used in high pressure equipment with direct chemical injection, WED-129 can be metered directly from its container at ratios from 1:20 to 1:150. The proper dilution rate will depend on the water hardness, type of soil being removed and the surface being cleaned. When used in equipment with a chemical concentrate tank, mix 1 or 2 gallon of WED-129 to every 5 gallons of water. This mixture is then metered through the machine at ratios from 1:10 to 1:30 depending on the cleaning requirements of the customer.

Multi-Purpose Cleaning

WED-129 is a multi-purpose cleaner. It is effective as an institutional and industrial cleaner. It is used in the institutional line in daily damp mopping, floor stripping, wall and ceiling cleaning. When diluted, WED-129 is used on all environmental surfaces not harmed by water. It is also excellent for “in place” cleaning for daily wipe down of machinery, walls, ceilings, floors, parts, hard surfaces, equipment, and many other surfaces.

Cleaning Floors

When cleaning floors, WED-129 can be used in different dilutions depending upon the soil to be cleaned. If you are cleaning food grease, dilute WED-129 at 1:20 with water. Mop or spray on and rinse. If you are going to clean a floor of petroleum oil and grease, dilute WED-129 at 1:15 with water. Mop or spray on and scrub as necessary, then rinse. For cleaning particle dirt from a floor, use WED-129 at 1:50 with water for light to medium soils. For heavy ground-in soil, dilute WED-129 at 1:20 with water and scrub as necessary, then rinse.

General Cleaning

For general maintenance cleaning, use WED- 129 at 1:40 for most cleaning tasks. You can clean wood, steel, aluminum, stainless steel, porcelain, and plastic surfaces. Use a stronger solution of WED-129 for the heaviest deposits of dirt, oil or grease. WED-129 is ideal for removal of cutting oils, syrups, and adhesives. To strip wax from floors, use WED-129 at 1:8 ratio. To degrease an engine, use a 1:2 ratio. For other degreasing operations, use WED-129 at 1:5 ratio in a pump-up style garden sprayer.

Economical Cleaning

WED-129 is a concentrated product that allows a reduction in the amount of cleaner needed to do a job. For example, you might find you’ll need 3 or 4 ounces of Brand X per gallon of water while WED-129 can do the same job with only 1 ounce per gallon of water. Economy with WED-129 comes from the ability of the product to replace many other cleaners, assuring the cleaning inventory can be kept to a minimum. Additional economy results from WED-129 being chemically engineered to remove stubborn soil from practically any type surface with very little WED-129 per gallon of water. That makes it the most economical cleaner you can use. WED- 129 stays fresh so you can use it down to and including the very last concentrated drop.

Cotton Pickers

For cotton pickers, the starting ratio is 1 pint WED-129 to 100 gallons in the picker tank water system. Customers can dilute as much as 1 quart to 100 gallons.

Many times cotton picker tanks have slime and algae buildup in the tanks and it will break up and get into the filters and spray orifices. It is recommended that the picker tank be cleaned before picking. Double or triple the recommended treatment ratio and leave this solution sitting in the tank for an extended period of time, such as one week. Drain the tank at this point and put fresh solution in the tank. As the cotton pickers first begin to run, keep an eye on the screens and filters so that if any slime or algae is removed and picked up by the screens or filters, they can be changed right away.

WED-129 can also be demonstrated on the green stain of cotton picker wheels at a 1:10 ratio or straight and it will remove the green stain immediately.
