Excellent Adhesion

ALUMINUM ROOF CEMENT bonds perfectly to a variety of roof surfaces including metal, built-up, modified bitumen, composition felts and primed concrete. It can be used alone to seal seams and fastener heads on metal roofs, or is ideal when used with one of Texas Refinery's reinforcing membranes such as Glass-Web or Poly-Mat.

Aluminum Pigment Throughout

As with all aluminum roof products offered by Texas Refinery Corp., only premium grade aluminum pigment is used in the manufacture of ALUMINUM ROOF CEMENT. This provides a bright reflective finish that resists thermal shock and remains more stable on a roof.

Pliable In All Types Of Weather

A perfectly balanced blending of refined asphalts, special fillers, plasticizers and solvents, this product remains pliable
in even the most extreme weather conditions. Its service temperature ranges from -60°F to 160°F without cracking or sagging.

Ideal For Variety Of Roof Surfaces

ALUMINUM ROOF CEMENT is well suited for repairing and reinforcing a variety of roof surfaces including metal, built up, composition, modified asphalts, and primed concrete. It can
be used on seams, fastener heads, flashings, chimneys, cracks and splits, blisters or anywhere a tight, weatherproof seal is needed and a reflective finish is desired.

Easily Applied By Trowel Or Putty Knife

The consistency of this product is smooth and homogenous, making it easy to apply by trowel or putty knife. Used alone or with one of Texas Refinery's reinforcing membranes, ALUMINUM ROOF CEMENT is a heavy-bodied repair mastic that provides long-lasting protection and superior reflectivity.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

Coverage:  An application 1/8-inch to 1/4-inch thick
will require 4 to 8 gallons per 100
square feet. The smoother the surface,
                                          the less material is required.

Surface Preparation:  Remove all dirt, dust, debris and
standing water by brooming or forced
air. Remove loose gravel from ballasted
roofs. Scrape away loose or scaled
coating. On metal or composition roofs,
replace loose or raised nails with larger
ones. Make sure all laps are tight. Dried
out felt or composition, oxidized metal
and all concrete surfaces should be
                                          primed with QUICK-DRY ANTI-OXIDENE
                                          COATING or MIGHTYPLATE PRIMER.
Rusted metal roofs or areas with scaled
                                          coating may require steel brushing
                                          and/or scraping.

                 Application:  Trowel ALUMINUM ROOF CEMENT
tightly into cracks, splits and seams.
Work material to a smooth, even
surface and feather the edges. Embed
                                          a layer of GLAS-WEB or POLY-MAT into
wet cement. Apply a top coat of cement
over patch, feathering the edge to
                                          approximately 4-inches beyond fabric.

Drying Time:  Eight to twelve hours to light touch.
                                          Avoid foot traffic over heavy
                                          applications. Surface must remain
clean and dry for 24 to 48 hours after
                                          application.

Clean Up:  Mineral spirits, but do not thin the
product with this or any other solvents.
